It’s cooling here first because it was hot as balls in the south in the 1800’s. I don’t know why it was so hot then but this stuff all evens out over the thousands of years.

My second point would be that the data is likely inaccurate. I’m sure they are screening with the numbers like the global warming believer do. I’ll put one thermometer on a black asphalt parking lot and one 10 feet away in a grassy area. Do you think both thermometers will give you the same temperature?

I wasn’t around in 1895, so I’ve never noticed those changes.

How accurate and consistent was temperature record keeping 125 years ago?

A lot of places didn't even record births and deaths.

Maybe the moisture and winds of Gulf serve to moderate temperature deviations?

Did you take a physical science class in middle school? We've been coming out of an ice age for 18,000 years now. If an ice age is ending, then that means the temperature is warming up. These things are cyclical.

Why aren’t people from northern climates happy about global warming? If I were in Minnesota, I’d love having 5 less snowstorms a year.

Alabama and especially Mississippi seem to have warmed up even less than Louisiana.

Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana at the bottom of state rankings. Something rather familiar.

I wouldn’t put too much stock into that map. It’s probably more of a guess than anything.
