just because you fail to grasp reality, that doesn't mean the person who does is giving you a pretentious answer when they try to explain it to you.

I know that's hard to accept, but it's the truth.

The elitist attitude combined with the quadrupling down on identity politics in addition to a shitty candidate is what caused Trump. Trump is a phenomenon created solely by people on the left who buy into nonsense similar to what the guy in the video is spewing.

Actually, it doesn't seem that you do, which is fine by me. The longer that it takes for the left to self-reflect instead of insult and deride those with whom they disagree, the more likely liberals will continue to lose elections.

The left lost because they assumed they were morally superior (as they always do) and incapable of losing. They trotted out a corrupt and frail granny with no message other than the status quo in a year where most Americans were looking for something different.

the only people who feel this way are people who were predisposed to vote for Trump anyway. Now that may have helped his turnout in some areas, again though those are in places that would have gone for Trump anyway. Texas is a good example of this.

The areas that decided the election were population centers in midwest states. Hillary underperformed Obama in those areas by pretty big margins. Not that those people switched to Trump though, as he underperformed Romney is those places as well. The Obama coalition was simply not excited about Hillary Clinton. While Trump did outperform Romney is the rural areas of those states, he did not do so at the same rate Hillary underperformed in the population centers, and regardless the exit polls showed his strength in those areas was based on his percieved business acumen, not liberal identity politics.

I know you have a narrative in your mind that you want to be true because it makes you feel good about yourself, but it just is not true. The data is all out there, i suggest you educate yourself

That analysis I gave has been reiterated by plenty of people from both sides of the political spectrum. I know that's not what you want to hear, though. Sorry.

Keep going down that "it was just a bad candidate" path. I don't care. It'll keep the warped leftists out of power and that's perfectly fine with me.

they were the two most unpopular candidates in polling history, why would that NOT be the main factor in the election??
