A lot of us are dealing with or have dealt with a lot of crap in life and choose to keep their faith. To each their own. Consider reading The Case for Christ by Lee Strobel. It may give you a different perspective.

MD Anderson in Houston

Getting the best care possible. My brother in law has been going there and he has to drive in from west of Austin 5 hours away. Started as colon cancer but has spread to his liver and bones. He’s 51 and has been dealing with this for 4 years now. He has 8 and 6 yo boys.

God bless all those and their families who battle any serious illness.

I saw something similar; she was another patient. She was older, and just judging by appearances, not financially well-off. I did something about it.

You rock! Awesome.

Tracy Thomas is a local man who finally succumbed this weekend to his long battle with cancer. He had survived stage 4 several times in a long (I think 14 years) battle. He was a Marine combat veteran, a stuntman in a number of films (his SAG insurance really helped) and an all around good guy.

His last FB post was at M.D. Anderson. It was upbeat and positive, though I was very worried when he said he was getting brain radiation.

I knew him because he used my 69 Chrysler 300 convertible in a Louisiana Film Prize project about a man just diagnosed with cancer who was taking his wife out for a ride in order to regroup and refresh.

He would joke about all the parts of his body they had removed. Words won't describe how he remained upbeat during a very tough, long battle with cancers.

RIP Tracy.

My mother in law (eww, definitely no pics) is having a mastectomy on Friday followed by radiation treatments sometime thereafter. My wife is a wreck; her dad was a LEO murdered in the line of duty when she was 7, so this has been her only parent for the vast majority of her life.
