Animal abusers and child abusers are two sides of the same coin.

I'm not going around killing animals personally, but I'm also not clutching my purse over a python, an invasive species which has wiped out like 90% of the native mammals there they have spread.
Is the guy who did this probably an a-hole? Maybe. But it's hypocritical to have a damn bounty on them and then treating this one like a little lost puppy.
I don't even hate snakes. I just can't stand the hand wringing. I'm not saying torture the animals. But I'm also not gonna cry if an invasive predator that slowly crushes its prey doesn't get an instant, painless death.
Nothing is going to be pretty. And if it can be done in the best way possible, awesome.
But if some get ugly it's not a reason to just surrender to invasive species
