If you watch this and don’t tear up you’re a machine. It’s on the History Channel now and tells the story of people who came down the stairs and survived. I recommend you watch it if you haven’t seen it yet. What those poor people endured that day is straight out of hell.

Watching it now. I have watched the documentaries every year since 9-11 and tear up with every one I watch.

The phone recording of the guy above the impact zone. And he's begging the 911 dispatcher to send someone to save him. And he's telling her how hot it's getting. And that he can't breath. And he doesn't want to die. And then the tower collapses out from under him. And you can hear him screaming as the line goes dead.

Will make you want to drive to your closest recruiting station.

Hearing that was one of the worst for me. That and the one showing the people jumping from the buildings.

This ^^^^^

There is one documentary (cant remember which one) interviewing a woman who was in the stairwell of one of the towers and as she and others were trying to get out, she could hear above her: boom, boom, boom, boom....getting faster and louder and then realizing it was the building collapsing above her. Hearing that story sent chills down my spine.

I recently accepted a position to work for Marsh, although not in NYC. We lost 295 employees as the north tower plane hit our floor directly. I was a kid when this happened but I have colleagues who have been with the company for decades that lost many friends that day. I’d be curious to know how many, if any, made it out alive. I need to watch this doc.
