miss the bright light button on the floor. TBH I didn't mind rolling up the windows, and no automatic door locks either.

I recently bought a BMW 7 series Alpina. Beautiful car. Fast car. But the mutha lovin safety features and functions are a giant pita and makes me miss roll up windows and manual locks. It took me two days to figure out how to unlock the doors while inside the car.

Dad had a 1979 GMC “Heavy Half”.

Sorry it’s not a Ford OP.

Those trucks are just smooth to drive. That damned light switch on the floor was DURABLE. me and dad both have big feet. Kicked that bastard a hundred times on accident and applied dad’s work boots to it to turn the lights on.

That switch probably still clicks wherever that truck is. Even if it’s a scrap yard in pieces. That switch still functions.

I have core childhood memories of riding out to my grandpaw's cow pasture in his single cab ford, and when I'd get out to open the gate, he'd say "Be sure to lock them hubs!"

My 66 Mustang and 69 Chrysler have the floor dimmers. The real mastery is using a floor dimmer when the car has a clutch.

Think the 1993 - 1994 7.3L turbo IDI diesel F-250 was the last peak for those who wanted a real working truck. Mechanical injection, no power windows, locks, or seats.

My 99 and 05 are both old school as could be bought then.
Manual trans, hubs, windows, and locks. They are pretty fricking simple.
