I was reading about this guy last week. I think The Atlantic (which is a pinko commie rag now... Sad!) ran a story about him.
It was pretty interesting. I don't think anyone even had a concrete theory about how he cheated. He hit the vast majority of the electronic checkpoints.

Well he knew where the checkpoints were would be my guess. His problem was his splits were all off.
One 5k portion of the race was timed at what would've been a world record 5k time, in the middle of a marathon.
That's not possible.
If he was going to cheat, he should've timed his splits to be consistent. But these guys just don't do that.
