Old enough.

If you like going out drinking and partying, of course it is. I wouldn't have dated a 19 year old when I was 24 unless I was really smitten with her. 20 I might consider it, depending how close she was to being 21.
I think my mistake here is the fact that I take relationships a bit more seriously, and this wouldn't even be in the top 25 of things I'd consider first. If you just want something casual or whatever, then by all means haha.

What's your opinion on this age gap for a couple?
My grandparents were 12 years apart, and while I think that is a bit much , it makes a five year difference pail in comparison.

18 is legally an adult, so you don't really have a say in them not being able to date.

Dated a girl in college. I was 18, she was 24.
Her and I are friends nearly 29 years later. She married a man 18 years older than her. They have been married 22 years.

It's fine but usually ends up with the 24 year old getting hurt, regardless of gender.

I want to be in a relationship and do the things I enjoy without compromising. I want to be in a relationship where I do more or less what I want and I have a girlfriend that will like what I like and support what I'm doing. Going out, having fun with friends, and fine dining with alcohol was pretty big priority for me when I was 24. If I had to give that up, we'd have a problem. Ended one relationship in about a month because we both hated each other's lifestyles outside of hanging out together. It's also why I don't plan on having kids anytime soon. Yes, the older I get, the less of a priority these frivolous things become, but for now, no, I'm not all that willing to compromise things I love doing.
