I've seen pack rats turn into biting Kung Foo masters while fighting cats. They can put up a hell of a fight.

I live rural with cattle fields all around us so bad arse outdoor cats are a necessity. Without cats the damn rats will quickly ruin everything you have. Pack rats are notorious for collecting wiring harnesses.

I wasn't much of a cat person until realizing how good they are at eliminating rodents and snakes.
