Who says they are unilaterally safe? No one I know.
The argument is not that vaccines are perfectly safe, the argument is that the small risk in vaccines is a lower risk and better outcome than the risk of getting the diseases we are largely vaccinated against.
If anyone thinks that anti-vaxxers are bad, wait until kids get the measles or whatever that should have been prevented. You will have an entire society out against the kid that brought it to school.

There has always been and will always be people who, for whatever reason, have reactions to vaccines. This absolutely does not have anything to do with the insane anti-vax movement. These are people with specific allergies preventing them from receiving vaccines.
And you know how we keep those people safe? Herd immunity.
To cite people with severe reactions to vaccines as a reason to not vaccinate across the board is wildly ridiculous. Imagine if we treated all people based on a small %’s allergies.
