I agree... But I'm betting they were talked out of filing a restraining order because muh paperwork. Then they don't have to pursue the guy for violating the restraining order.

I just want to know all the details. If the poop talked them out of filing a restraining order or denied it for some reason it is even more egregious on the police. Dereliction of duty or something of the such.

At a press conference late Wednesday night, NYPD Commissioner Keechant Sewell described the suspect as a man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and sweatpants, who fled eastbound on 95th St. after the shooting.

Ironic quote behind her from Malcolm X:

“You can’t separate peace from freedom because no one can be at peace unless he has his freedom.”

Rest in Peace victim.

They need to find that guy and take care of that gun because it keeps shooting people.

These types don't typically have any respect for PFA orders.

Until a recent boating accident I had over 30 firearms, some of which I’ve owned over 20 years. Not once have any of them ever gone out and shot anyone in the back of the head. In fact, unless I actually pick them up, they just kinda sit there doing nothing.

I can 1-up you there - I inherited my grandfather's 16 gauge that he purchased in 1946 - as far as I know - it has never shot a single human being. Just a lot of birds. 76 years murder free - it's a miracle. That thing should have killed thousands on its own by now.

Sorry to say it, but you’ve probably already figured this out as well… your grandfather’s 16 gauge is pretty lazy. Seems all mine are (or were) the same. Seems there’s a lot of slacker guns out here.

By the way, hold on to that 16 gauge. Don’t see many of those any more.

You're right - I need to give that gun a good talking to - it's really not living up to expectations just sitting in a case in a closet.
