Wait....... The 40,000 homes number has been thrown around all week, now all of a sudden it's 110,000 homes? More than double? I'm calling BS on that.

So this is just a complete guess by them. The 110,000 number is way off. It assumes that every home in every affected area flooded basically.

Damage to insured, uninsured, cleanup costs, rebuilding, economic productivity stopped...if totaled out Id say $28 to $30 billion

Br chamber said 9.2 billion in damages and 2.4 billion worth of enforce flood insurance policies in the impacted parishes.
Edit: BR chamber also put number of "impacted" structures ( homes/ businesses ) at 110k
