I'm no longer borderline after therapy. I'm still bipolar but it's much better controlled now

well that is good to hear. I always thought mental illness was like anorexia, you can get better but your are always recovering.

there are some schools that say borderline is curable. I don't know who's right but I don't have any of the symptoms anymore

Mac, I am no expect, but I was under the assumption mental illness is kind of like alcoholism. If you are an alcoholic you will always be one, because even if you haven't had a drink in years, it's still there.

You can do whatever works to manage mental illness, but it's still there. But I could be wrong.
