A little dose of realism for the chicken Littles
We played the best team in the NFC without our top 2 cornerbacks. And despite that, the defense played well enough. If Lattimore and Crawley are playing, they don't have a problem. There's isn't a team in the NFL that has 4 elite corners on their roster in case number 1 AND 2 go down.
The offense took a shite on the field, I assume Payton will be ripping throats this week. Kamara accounted for both touchdowns and over half of our yards. Thank God for our running backs.
But the offense looked absolutely pathetic. You had receivers running wrong routes, guys missing blocks, Brees underthrowing open guys, Brees throwing into triple coverage, etc...
I think this one was inevitable, for one: we weren't going to win 14 straight. And a nondivisional game is ok. For two: the offense has started slow all season and they finally just couldn't get it going. I think it'll galvanize them.
Why Brees decides to just force half of his throws to Ted Ginn I don't know.
Next week will be the test to see of this was the inevitable loss after 8 straight or of the team is crumbling. At home, against a division opponent, fighting to secure the NFC South.
Get to the Dome this weekend. And get loud. We win the division and we get a playoff game in the Dome.

I get your point, but we didn’t play the best team in the NFC. We didn’t play the Eagles.
Posted on 11/27/17 at 6:32 am to Breesus
Rams are good but Vikings and Eagles are better. We also lost our end.
Not the end of the world, still control our destiny and this was a non-conf game.
Also, more games remaining at home then on the road.
13 DEC 3 3:25PMCST ) PANTHERS
14 DEC 7 7:25PMCST ' , A AT FALCONS
15 DEC 17 12:00PMCST * JETS
16 DEC 24 12:00PMCST ) FALCONS
17 DEC 31 12:00PMCST ) AT BUCCANEERS

Yeah everybody was talking about playoff seeding all week as if going 14-2 was an afterthought. Kinda dumb

It was a non division game it was a conference game.

That’s what I meant.

Lol. At got laughed at for trying to make this point last week. The Rams game is not half as important as this Sunday. We were never going to be a top 2 seed with our remaining schedule.

You were laughed at for saying we should conceed the game before it was played.
No one thought that this game was more important than the Panthers game. You really went out on a limb with that one

I’m glad we get the falcons after their game against the Vikings

This weekends game is one of the biggest games the Saints have played since 2011. If they are going to win the South this is a must win. The Panthers and Falcons (esp Falcons) are starting to get it together, I still think Cam is too erratic and cant be depended on week to week but when he is on they are almost impossible to beat. The loss to the Rams is a bad one in regards to Playoff seeding. Having already lost to the Vikings tgis Rams loss basically means that we have very littke chance at being anything better than the 4 seed assuming we win the South and aren't a WC team. Looks like the Eagles will get the 1, the Vikings the 2 and now the Rams are looking pretty good at being the 3 seed. Hopefully the Saints can win 3 of the next 5 and possibly get up to the 3 seed which I believe is important especially this season. Assuming its 1-Eagles, 2-Vikings,, 3-Saints/Rams, 4-Rams/Saints, 5-Panthers/Falcons/Seahawks 6-Panthers/Falcons/Seahawks I really think the wild card teams in the NFC has a great chance to beat the 4 seed and then maybe the 1 seed as well. So if the Saints can at least get the 3 seed (probably the best they have a shot at now) they could potentially host the NFC Championship game. How sweet would it be if the Saints got to beat the Falcons or Panthers in the Dome to get to another Super Bowl? Hell even Saints vs Seahawks in the Dome would be incredible.

Yep. That mentality was a problem.
The saints invoiced for playoff tickets, people comparing this team to 09, the amazing comeback last week, the slow offensive start all season, Lattimore and Crawley OUT, etc....
At some point we were going to lose a game. What makes champions is how you come back from that. So it's time to go punch Carolina and the Falcons in the mouth and winnth division.

The saints aren’t really that good.
Played a ton of shite teams. 2 week’s in a row they played a good qb and got lit up
Vikings rams and eagles are in another class

2 weeks in a row our defense has been beatup. Hopefully our cbs come back this week.

Not having Lattimore hurt but the Rams were also w/out their #1 WR so it’s basically a wash.

Please find where I said that we should concede. I'll wait.

Robert Woods is good but he’s not that good

Winning 8 straight games in the NFL is nothing to scoff at, I don't care about the competition. It's not easy.
That said, Goff is the real deal, the Rams are going to be contenders for a while. Rome was saying last week that they are rivaling Best Show on Turf stats with Warner and Faulk.

So missing key guys in the secondary has nothin to do with that?
You don’t watch games anyway I thought?
