I like Mike Thomas as a person and a player. I just dont like him as a 20 million dollar chess piece in a chess game.

I’m really torn when it comes to paying players.
I always understand the uneasiness we fans have of paying a large chunk of the cap to one player. But it seems we fans are always uneasy & hesitant about paying any large record price to any great player.
Problem is, it will always be an issue. I remember fans, just like administration, that balked at giving FA Brett Favre a $4M a year deal. He wanted to come here, but the Saints wouldn’t pay that at-the-time record price. Most fans agreed. But we could’ve had a HOFer at QB. MT13 is on pace for a HOF career and $20M a year will soon be chump change.

I had to laugh at someone in the MT contract thread claiming we have a top WR duo on our team. Sorry, but Thomas/Ginn isn't top 10 and just imagine not even having Thomas.

If the team really is at 19 already then we’re talking about a difference of 4 million over 4 years. Not gonna break the team. Pay him. Some of you are freaking out way too much over a relatively small amount of money
