Charles Brown had good measurables too. I remember one of the UDFA LBs last year we cut also had good measurables but sucked arse.

And yeah, Tez was a huge disappointment for me. High hopes man. High hopes.

That's why I'm in favor of moving away from some of these guys that are just workout warriors without the film to back it up.

Tez was weird too, considering he was actually productive in college. Usually production and measureables equals a good player.

on the other spectrum, you have a guy like Kenny Stills who drops to the 5th, who had both going for him.

If grading players was an exact science, everyone would be ballers.

Or maybe Eric Martin.

The uproar about them was surreal.

I remember reading a draft profile of Thomas that was insane.

He had going in like the third or something.
He then compared him to someone in the NFL, like Brian Orakpo, but saying he'll have an even better career.

i knew Thomas wasn't going to be shite when SF had like 12 picks and his own coach wouldn't even pick him.

I believe Tez played this defense in college where they played nickel all the time, and he played one of the middle linebackers.

I imagine spending one year on the d-line under Spags didn't help him. I guess he just never picked the position up.

The Saints might swing for the fences a bit more than most teams IMO. Teams look at both the high end ceiling and low end floor of what they think a player can do. Many with the higher upside also have lower downside risk. Brown and Armstead both fit that profile. Brown looked like a whiff at #64 but Armstead a hit at #75. It's a riskier strategy but if ya get a starting left tackle it's a big score (versus a high 1st Rder or expensive FA).

— The Green Bay Packers need a wide receiver, and I'm told their current draft board ranks Sammy Watkins, Mike Evans, Odell Beckham and Cody Latimer in order.
LINK

posting just cuz he's reporting it as the Packers official ranking. I don't doubt Latimer could be ranked there. A perfect example of how the big board of teams is different that what we construct as fans.

Yea,nice find.

That's why I still believe Beckham won't be there at 27.

He would be a good fit but we don't need another Meachem or Toon right now this is the super bowl year leave the broken one in the draft for ATL
