He was placed on IR, apparently had no idea and found out through Instagram. He says that he's healthy. I cannot imagine what a Thomas/Gordon combo would look like. It would be nasty.

And before you say "drugs blah blah, locker room blah blah"- Sean Payton is one of the best, if not the best at bringing a locker room together and stomping out any bullshite. I think it would be a great fit.

I definitely don’t think it’s a terrible idea to give him a look. I’ve read a lot of this is the Pats being so tight against the cap in making moves from the failed AB experiment. Gordon finally seems to be getting past some of his substance issues and he’s easily more talented than anyone in our WR group behind Thomas.

Even if he’s not the Gordon from 5 years ago he could at least give us what we were hoping from Dez last year.

Dude has been a head case and a pain in the arse ever since he came into the league. If the patriots can’t make it work... nobody can

Hard pass

Bringing a guy in with a very sordid past with both drugs and alcohol into New Orleans of all places is just begging for trouble.

Not even sure how big of a head case he was as opposed to a legitimate addict. I don’t think he’s being released due to an attitude issue at all.

I imagine a famed player scout such as yourself would already have his number.

Trust the system. Watch the games and enjoy. Pretending to know more than the coaches won't help the Saints win more games.

If Belichick can't turn the kid around he's done.

No chance we get him.

He is on IR. Unless he gets medically cleared before the 29th he will have to clear waivers after being cut by the Pats.

Waiver order is inverse order of standings...so Saints would not be high on that list.

also because Gordon is a pending FA even for a team that is tanking he would factor into the Comp Pick formula

Pats basically said frick any contender that wants to add him and frick Josh Gordon

He’s banged up. And they need a roster spot.

I've sorted through alot of Gordon-related tweets this week, and here's what I understand the process to be, IRT Gordon:

-He'll get released after the trade deadline (Tuesday)
-Since it'll be post-deadline, he's subject to waivers
-Saints are currently 30th (inverse order of W-L record) on the waiver priority list

So, 29 other teams would have to pass on him for us to get a sniff. Highly unlikely.

Edit: See this has already been posted.

If Bill and Brady can't get him to stretch the field we won't either.

Waste of time.

Yeh - there's definitely no alcohol or drugs available in Boston....he's gonna be like a kid in a candy store waking up to this buffet of vices.... /s

Can we stop with this narrative? It's 2019, not 1885. There's drugs and alcohol every.damn.where in this country.
