Would Drew Brees be willing to renegotiate

Since Brees will have the bulk of his contract, I was thinking that Drew Brees will renegotiate his contract in two years so we can upgrade talent on the OL and DL.
What say you?
What say you?

The price is the price, there is no negotiations

Towards the end of his career, if the team is not able to get over the hump, I think he would. Not 100% on that though.

I'm not a contract whiz, but I don't think the team would ask him to take less money. Like, take Mets 3B David Wright. He lowered his cap figure for 2013 to $8M by agreeing to defer more of his money into some future year (I think it was like 2020 or something). So, he gets his money, just not all of it over the life of his current contract and he's guaranteed to get this money maybe at or near the end of his playing career (that's good for David Wright, good for the Mets in 2013, bad for the Mets after 2020 as the figure is $15M).
To me, this sounds like a good move, however David Wright is younger than Drew Brees. Drew would probably do something similar, if it ever came to it. I don't think this ever comes to it, however.

I don't know, if Vitt and Carmichael don't stop abusing his arm, he may not have two years left.

His contact isn't even that bad with the salary cap increase coming

This.
And so far this year we have played much better when having a balanced attack. Whether or not we actually run the ball well or not. As long as it's decent running, it's good for the entire offense. I'm sure brees likes seeing 3rd and 4-6 a little bit more than 3rd and 10 all because we threw the ball on every damn down. With the backs we have there is no reason we shouldn't be able to have a solid balanced run game.
I almost feel bad for the running backs. If they were in other systems on other teams they would be putting up huge numbers. (except Ingram, I think we could run fkn David Thomas and be more productive than when Ingram carries the ball). But Especially PT and the fact that he can do everything you ask for from a running back and does it very well. Ivory too. Although he isn't as balanced as PT he is a hell of a running back. He's a Powerful back with good vision and great breakout speed. And blah on the fumbling crap. He hasn't fumbled at all this year and even the best backs in the league cough the ball up at some point.
But instead we put Darren Sproles in the backfield and let Brees get drilled because someone thinks its a good idea to put Sproles in to block for Brees

He should have told them to take some of what they ended up paying him to get some better teammates like Tom Brady did....

You realize Bradys restructuring just gave him his money as a signing bonus to spread out over the course of the last 2 seasons of his contact.
Restructuring always benefits the player

It's more important that Vilma, Will Smith and Harper restructure.
And you're an idiot.
And you're a prime example of why you should have to have at least 1,000 posts before being able to start a thread.
I like the Saints!
That's what I say...
