Lofton is solid…. other than that… Hawthorne could be an all-pro, but he ain't exactly helping if he's hurt, is he?? so, how is he "solid" for our defense right now?

Dont be a douche, Hawthorne has racked up 100+ tackles each of the past 3 years. If he were healthy, he would be solid, him being hurt and waiting on the sideline is better than shanle being in the game.

Seeing as we have to forfeit our 2nd rounder this year, we would have to absolutely trade it. The first thing we need is to secure the offensive line. Our defense has never been our strong point, but our team works because we balance the offense and the running game has yet to show up this season.

My first round pick would be T Luke Joeckel from Texas A&M. He is a stout LT who can help solidify this offensive line.

Next, we aim for a game changing defensive linemen in the middle. Our secondary woes are never going to get better until we start pushing the pocket and getting pressure on the QB. Here is where we aim for a guy like Sylvester Williams, DT from North Carolina. Now obviously no one knows where anyone is going in the draft right now, who rises, who falls. However, in my opinion, our defense needs a T to supplant Bushrod, who has been average at best, along with a playmaking DL.

To me it's pretty hard to tell what you need most because the whole defense is playing so badly. Honestly, I think CB needs to be our first pick with someone like Millner from Bama. I think we also need S help pretty badly. I'm less inclined to go LB because we haven't seen what a fully healthy LB corp looks like. I'm also less inclined to go d-line because Hicks played pretty damn well last night all things considered and Jordan, Galette, and Wilson are a pretty nice young corp to build around.

But if I had to pick right now I'd say in order:
CB
OLB
D-line
O-line
WR

It doesn't matter how "good" Gallette and Wilson seem. At the top of the draft you have to pick a difference maker no matter the position. If we get the first or second pick hopefully we can trade back and get a difference maker and the biggest difference for this team would be a pass rusher. Montgomery or Jarvis Jones. If we pick somewhere between 10-15, we need to grab Mante Te'o.

Our biggest needs are:
Pass Rusher of any kind
OT
CB
OLB
S
WR

Barkevius Mingo, Jarvis Jones, Minter, or any good Defensive tackle or outside linebacker. I'd like to take a flyer on Tyrone Mathieu in a late round at corner.

-Mingo: Doesn't fit New Orleans' system in the slightest and has been somewhat of a disappointment this season.

-Jones: 3-4 OLB and has been extremely inconsistent throughout his career. I don't want him.

-Minter: Likely won't declare early and if he does we could probably get in the 3rd/4th round. We don't need him, however. We got Lofton.

-Mathieu: Lolololololol, gotta love LSU fans.

REALLY REALLY REALLY wish Clowney was a Jr. Id be in for full tank mode to get a guy like that. Jarvis Jones is a good player but hes still just a LB

I'd draft another CB, Safety, or DE before getting a LB

Sounds about right. It's not like we've drafted those position in high spots lately!

Yea if Clowney was a junior I'd be borderline ok with sitting Brees for the rest of the season hahaha.

That guy is the truth.
