He slung a side arm pass into a d lineman's armpit twice. I will say this in his defense, that his time throwing at practice was very limited before he took the reins.

He has proven one thing to me.... Jameis is (if any) only slightly better than our #3 Qb.
2022 needs to have the Saints with the QB position upgraded. No one on the current roster is the answer.

I think he’s earning of an audition to be a bridge to the next franchise QB (or short window QB, aka Rodgers/Wilson).
It’s weird to say this beyond just the Swiss Army knife comparison, but Taysom adds more to the O in that role than we’d lose with him at QB. I know that fans that don’t want him to be the starter have never questioned the athletic talent, but rather the arm. Right now I’m not sure Taysom fans for starting QB can admit his arm talent outweighs what we desperately need in this O - weapons. We all should be in agreement of that.
Trevor showed some good, then some sputters. He’s earned a chance to show that he can be on the roster next year (or starter if we strike out on FAs/trade market, cause the draft class is shite). If Dilfer could win a SB, he could if everything goes the right way with us and this D. Will it? Probably not, but he didn’t earn the job of starting role/franchise QB of the Saints with yesterday. Just an audition to remain on a roster and bridge to the next guy to be that.

You’re right but this generation of gadget PlayStation players will never agree. It’s Taysom or death for them even though Taysom hasn’t earned a qb spot in the league for ten years.

You’re right, would’ve been really fricking weird to be called up to the NFL from BYU, where he was prior to 2017.

TBH, seemed like the bucs defense bailed him out on every drive we scored points… don’t think he is the answer.

Trevor's mechanics looked shady.
Suh and Gholston lived in the backfield, but it looked like damn near every pass was off his back foot.
I still think he starts, and maybe a week of practice with the starters will will clean stuff up.
