Why have the saint's not gone after wade philips for DC?

I mean, it's entirely possible that we've just whiffed on EVERY SINGLE DC hire we've made.
But I'd be more inclined to believe there is an issue with the common denominator over all these years....

rex ryans defenses were all top 6 in baltimore and new york.

It's none of that. It's coaching. Namely, Johnson, Vitt, Allen, and McMahon.
We went to the superbowl and the best 3 seasons in Saints history with guys coming off their couches, high dollar free agents, cap problems, and scrubs.

don't tell this to suntiger. he will wet himself like a bitch.
but you are right. we lost two starters on that defense. people seem to forget. C. grant who was replaced by bobby mccray. and remi ayodele replaced a lineman if i recall. mike mckenzie was pulled off the street to help for the pats game and on and on.
