Why do I have a feeling we’ll miss the playoffs by like 1 game or 0.5 games?

We’ve seen it play out like that before too many times. The Saints get our hopes up only to disappoint us at the end of the season.
We end up getting the worst of all worlds. No playoffs and we end picking between 15 and 18 in the draft. Even worse problem is that Dennis Allen and all his assistants keep their jobs.

We're going to be flexed to SNF against the Falcons, for the division and the 4 seed. We'll be embarrassed on national TV. Dennis Allen will not be fired.
I've seen this script enough times, and the Payton/Brees years have not made me forget how times were before.

I think I'm going to get that prediction wrong. That doesn't matter to me. What does is I'm still on the fence on how to feel about the current situation of the Saints.
It's weird not feeling bad about the losses and happy when they do win because it seems like, so few others are.
freaking no man's land almost.

Because that's what the Saints do, we win to move DOWN on Draft Day
We have done it 3 Times in resent history.
if we would have lost the last game of the year (With No Chance at the Playoffs)
Our Draft Position would have changed by up to 3 to 5 slots.
Just a observation...
