Not ALL old white dudes. But I know enough people from that era to know they thought differently than many of us do today. Sheesh.

Hap and Buddy were a lot of things, racist was NOT one of them. Don't put that tag on people without knowing the whole story.

Only thing I remember about the RW pick was that stupid-arse dreadlock wig Ditka wore that day.

That was a buffoon of a guy who gave up all pretense of respectability as a coach.

And now, he's an analyst.

Idiot.

That's one of two jobs where you can be wrong most of the time and still keep your job.

The other is TV weatherman.

He was one before the Saints hired him ... He and Buddy D did the second guess show from casino magic on Monday nights during some of the Mora years.

Buddy used to always butcher the Beau Rivage when he had the remote show from there in Biloxi. He couldn't pronounce it right and always called it the "Beau Virage". My friend and I who used to laugh at that still pronounce it that way to each other.

They actually gave me the studio line phone number so when I called the line wasnt busy. Buddy would always put me right on and say, "allright, here's our guy Bubba on the magic carpet! I don't know where I came up with some of the stuff I said but I always tried to make people laugh!

All Hail Bubba!! I remember when Buddy called Bubba a "little mini celebrity."
