Trade up and get PP7 is the obvious answer here.

Von Miller? I think he could play an olb in both a 43 and 34.

Isn't Tamba Hali a FA? Chad Greenway is as well.

I wouldn't mind drafting Mark Ingram if he were available in the first..

I would be willing to trade Reggie, a 1st next year and a 3rd this year to do that but I may be wearing my LSU glasses. He would solve the problems in the return game and he has the potential to be a top 3 corner in the NFL with time. Maybe work a deal trading Jabari for a pass rusher to free up PT

the thing is we have a plenty decent enough secondary if a QB doesn't have 10 seconds to throw the ball

the pass rusher can be acquired other ways besides the draft. Did anyone miss Bobby McCray? I thought he did a decent job last year as a speed DE and he brought a certain degree of nastiness/toughness to the D.

no real "who" or discussion until free agency shakes out

Signing a Michael Bush, Sproles, Greenway, Ray Edwards, or Barry Cofield type would completely change the daft need weight.

For plain positional need I'd go-

a pass rushing DE, Will Smith gonna get old and an elite rush guy would make GW schemes even more territying

RB depends on if Reggie and PT are back. Neither will have any real negotiationg leverage. I think it will be more if the team wants to continue with their good play and often injury-ness. Pleny of FA and draftees available.

OT- If Chas Brown is as good as advertised and steps up to replace Bushrod that would be huge. Contract time for Bushrod.

SS- Contract needed for Roman Harper. Iv'e always had mixed feelings on him. Saturday could have been his last Saints game. Great in the box, less than average in coverage. I wouldn't give him giant bucks. If he's gone there's no real SS replacement on the roster. McDaniel from Clemson could be a #26 pick consideration.

LB- Casillias will be back. I'd more likely expect them to add a journeyman FA or mid Rd draft pick over a big name there. Maybe a Rocky McIntosh type or Kelvin Sheppard with the 3rd Rd.

ya know they actually agreed with the Giants on a trade for him but couldn't work out a new contract deal with him, which killed it... maybe they can now

It's going to be the best player available. That's how it always is with SP. He will address the team needs during the off-season.

i hardly call that "set"

A healthy PT and Ivory, we would theoretically be set with some quality backs behind them. PT might be more signable now than before given the lackluster season. Ivory looks to be a stud if can stay on the field. I wouldn't be opposed to drafting a mid-late round guy. Think we need to fry some fish on the defensive side of the ball and add some difference makers.

not going to see specific pics but

1 Pass rushing DE
2 a franchise RB. I have never been a Bush hater or apologist. He is what he is but i am done with him and his salary. PT is gone and Ivory is too injury prone
3 OLB- Vilma is a great and smart MLB, Shanle is smart we need an enforcer. we need a nasty LB. we dont have one of those. Hell, we dont have any players with attitude on our entire team other than Jenkins

I'm surprised more people aren't on the Von Miller bandwagon.

A Pass-Rushing OLB that can probably play 3-4 and 4-3. Sounds good to me.

Whatever the coaches think we need on defense, that's the position to draft in the first round.

When your team scores 36 points and still loses the game, defensive needs scream out.

Plus, good running backs are normally available in the third round. A guy like John Clay (6-1 248) from Wisconsin is a real bruiser who might be available in 3rd or later rounds.

My opinion is the Saints should trade down if they can get an additional high 2. We need lots of help in DEFENSE across the board, OT and RB.
