I was eating a steak at a local restuarant and the waiter barfed all over the table ruining the whole dinner at once. As he quickly began to wipe the table...it was weird but the numbers 20 appeared.
Maybe Friday the 20th?

I bet Goodell waits until the last minute. It seems like every move he makes is designed to screw us.
Just like Williams and the NFL already talking about his reinstatement. That means Williams' and Payton's suspensions are identical. Anyone who thinks that is fair is retarded.

You could possibly be a prophet. If this happens, consider a trip to Vegas on me.

Dude, that made me laugh so hard I'm gonna get busted for being on TD at work.

Six days until the draft. It's getting frustrating for me, I can't image how hard it is on the front office. I hope this is a sign that the player suspensions won't be that severe and will only involve a few players. This delay holding up the Brees contract also pisses me off.

I think Goodell put himself into a tough spot. He may or may not have evidence of a bounty program. Either way, they don't want to share any of it with the NFLPA. They just want the NFLPA to trust them or just concede that they have already been shown sufficient evidence. The GW tapes was suppose to be the "damning evidence", but that doesn't prove anything other than GW has a big mouth.
They know lawsuits are coming over concussions. So was this whole thing a way to try to get out in front of it; to give themselves a track record of being proactive about player safety? I'm not suggesting the whole thing was fabricated. I'm pretty certain a pay for performance program was going on. I suspect the only time we may have had a pay to injure program was in 09.
If they really do have evidence of such a program, there's no way they wanna leak it out. Remember they destroyed the tape in the Patriots case. Right now they're under no legal obligation to share or preserve the information (that I know of), so they could conceivably destroy the evidence and frame the events however they like.
I heard on NFL network yesterday that the NFL is trying to frame any appeals that may come from the players suspensions as off-field misconduct; rendering their appeals back to Goodell instead of a 3rd party. This is some shady stuff going on.

What's the point of having a union if Goodell can separate players from their backing on a whim?

I don't think he can, but he's definitely trying to keep everything contained and running through the NFL FO. I think once the suspensions come down there's gonna be some ugliness to ensue.

It does sound like the spygate losing of the evidence.
Goodell wants to punish the Saints, but he doesn't want to expose any wrongdoing on the part of the NFL (that may be in the evidence).
Or, there's just not as much definitive evidence as he claimed.

Well the way it's been framed by the NFL is "Well we got a whiff of a bounty program and we told them repeatedly 'hey if this is going on knock it off' and we continued our investigation until we found the evidence."
I hear this over and over again, and I'm starting to not believe it. It doesn't make sense. Sure Payton is arrogant and has a big ego, but he's not stupid.
