In this particular draft he is. In any ordinary draft there's usually 3 to 4 guys who are unquestioned 1st rounders.

Austin is the best in this draft...a draft that is unusually soft on QB and WR talent at the top of the board.

Tavon Austin is going to be a stud pro bowler one day buddy. If he's not worth a top 15 pick, why are there 8+ teams that have high interest in him and are willing to move up in the draft? I know the Saints have other holes to fill but Austin is definitely worth a #15

The saints have had a top 3 offense basically every season since 2006. Why would they take offense when we had the worst defense in the league last year? That would just be dumb.

All top 3 OT's gone?

Mingo,star,richardson, and jones gone?

Xavier Rhodes gone?

That's not going to happen, but let's say it did. I would pray to the football gods for a trade back. Nothing against Austin and I would love to have him. But not at 15 while we need so much defensive help.

I'm putting my money on Patterson being the best WR to come out of this draft

This is said and overstated way too much. We had a new DC, no Head Coach, no Asst. Head Coach for 6 games, a sometimes struggling offense early in the year, and that new DC brought in a scheme that completely did not fit almost every single player(as they were all GW type players) and he refused to adapt it and the players couldn't or refused to adapt to it.

This year Brees is not sitting out, Sean Payton is back, Joe Vitt will be there the whole year, and we brought in a coordinator who runs a very similar scheme to GWs with the same core of players plus some upgrades since GW was here.

By getting another WR you're just making a top 3 offense even more verstile. In the Saints case, Austin helps tremendously on 3rd down conversations and has big play pontential. Something could potentially help out the defense along the way. Plus, what do you think the Saints are going to use all those other picks on?

I agree. He has the size and speed to be special.
