What is a Blake Bortles

So we are hit with covid in the qb room and have to grab Bortles late in the season. Seemed a good move.
But...funny thing is I was expecting him to be released. And he is not.
All kind of QB talk around of course but none about this guy. I realized I didn't really know much about him having seen very little of him live.

Completed 59 percent off his passes for 17,649.
103 touchdowns 75 interceptions 78 career games.
In the all important completion % he is around 73rd

I like Bortles to push people in camp and see what happens. I like him as a back up for sure with and good upside potential

Blake is a good QB, but not good enough to start in today’s NFL. If this was 1991, possibly a stud starter.

Bortles has a ton of upside! His teams in Jax suuuuucked and he still won games!

I like Bortles as a solid qb to have in the qb room. He can put an offense on his back when he is “on”.

No. That was first 4 seasons. He was sacked 195 times in 5 seasons.
In his first season with the Jaguars he was sacked one in every ten pass atts. for 55 sacks. That is a horrifying stat.
