What Freek said is true though, I definitely remember the commentating from the Cardinals game. I had that on the DVR for about a year along with the NFC game and Superbowl. it was removed to make room for Cake Boss after I discovered I can watch those online.
He does know football. I just hate when he goes Madden Mode, you know, stating the obvious. I want to punch my television when he does that shite, but I don't because it's a Vizio and it'll break.

Heath Evans fricking sucks, blues. Thanks for the info on the Week 1 crew, though.

Wow, thank you for that in depth analysis. Care to share more?????

I don't really get the hate for him, but whatever.
The hate mostly stems from his self righteous act. The "OH MY, THAT WAS A DISGUSTING ACT BY RANDY MOSS!" preaching, and the wry "I'm so fricking smart" smarminess that he delivers on the reg.
He's a good announcer but he very obviously thinks he's one of the all time greats. He also kind of oozes the Bob Costas "baseball is a superior game" vibe that is annoying to football fans.

Sure. He wins the "Ernie Conwell award" for random guy coming in and somehow becoming the team spokesman from day one, even though he was like the 23rd best/most important player on the team. The scrappy career journeyman who thinks he's some ambassador of the game. He overvalues his shitty opinions much the same way that a Merill Hoge or a Craig James does. Opinionated, overly religious (the type of assholes who lead the team prayer in a "look at me" fashion) and preachy. I hate all three of them.

Sure there is some
Madden-esque schtick with him, but if you go back to the Arizona-Saints 2009 playoff game that is on Blu-ray DVD and PUT ON THE SUBTITLES, you'll find when you actually pay attention to what he is saying, he was on point each and every time.
I don't own the Blu-Ray, could you share a bit of this? Curious.

It'll also make you realize (if you haven't already) that Moose is hands-down the most insightful & accurate color man in the business. Mayock is great on player history and tools but does not offer the in-game analysis that Moose does.
I don't think anyone here is questioning this. Dude is solid all around no matter who is calling.

I can honestly say i dont agree with one bit of this. I see how your saying he wasn't with the Saints for a long time, but I don't think he acts like he was Mr. New Orleans or something.
