after the Giants beat Dallas, aren't they locked in for home field throughout?

If Philly wins out they would have knocked out Dallas(provided they lose to NYG) and Washington. And with a Falcon loss to TB and a Panther loss to TB and NYG. The Saints and Eagles go to playoffs.

Sounds very possible. More possible even, than the Saints winning out.

That game can go either way - I guess my thinking is that if Philadelphia loses to Cleveland they won't be playing a "play in game" v's Washington in Week 17 or Dallas in Week 17. But yeah by that point it might be moot.

I was willing to trade one "bad" - Philly over Cleveland, for two "goods" - Philly over Washington and/or Dallas.

It's not life or death though - there are numerous other scenarios that work. Heck, if Dallas loses to both the Giants and Baltimore than we might actually be rooting for them to beat Philly in Week 17.

This is how I figured it.

on 3rd and 4 with a 1:30 left remember the handoff to Thomas? He fought for that extra yard to get the first down and keep the clock moving? Bush would not have gotten the first down giving Atlanta the ball back with about 35 seconds left.

Not to get off track, but we shouldn't be comparing Bush and Thomas. Though similar heights and weights they're two completely different types of back.....Thomas is more of an every down back, IMO.

we should root for cleveland to beat philidelphia. phily is in the NFC and cleveland is in the AFC. who cares about them. why would anyone possibly want them to win so we can have another NFC team to try and pass?

I agree. I think he makes Reggie Bush better though, if that makes any sense. Just my opinion.

I like Pierre and Reggie both getting 10-15 carries a game with both catching screens, returning kicks, swing passes, etc. Really, they appear pretty similar with Reggie being faster and quicker and Pierre being a bit better between the tackles.

The gameplan yesterday suited them both perfectly. Use the pass to open up draws and toss plays to get them in space while at the same time making the playaction more effective.

Not offensively.

Pierre is a better pass blocker, not even close.

Pierre doesnt fumble as much.

Pierre averages more yards per carry.

Pierre averages more yards per catch.

Pierre consistenly goes over 100 yards of offense when he gets enough playing time, he is 4 of 4 doing so. Reggie does it like once every 3 games or so.

Pierre scores more TDs on less touches.

I don't mean this sarcastically, I'm very interested to see what makes Reggie better considering just about every imaginable stat says the complete opposite.

Now if Tampa Bay doesn't beat Atlanta we have to hope they lose out.

Before his injury on offense:
TB-->163 yards (TD)
@Wash-->91 yards + a punt return TD
@Denv-->148yards (2 TDs)
SF-->38yards
Min-->93yards +2 punt return TDs
Oak-->67 yards (2 TDs)
Carolina-->60yards (got hurt)

he's pretty much at or over 100 yards in every game he has played all 4 quarters of football in

I said once every 3 games or so.

He did it twice in 7 games. So...I was right, lol. 2 others were 90+, so that's close.

But Pierre "Oui Oui" Thomas is 4 out of 4, when he gets a significant amount of touches, dating back to last season.

It's REALLY hard to deny that Thomas has been more effective on the offensive side of the ball, when given the opportunity.

Week 15

Cincinnati over Washington
Denver over Carolina
New York Giants over Dallas
Philadelphia over Cleveland

Week 16

New Orleans over Detroit*
Baltimore over Dallas

New York Giants over Carolina*
Philadelphia over Washington*

Week 17

New Orleans over Carolina*
St. Louis over Atlanta
Dallas v’s Philadelphia (too soon to tell - most likely root for Philly)
San Francisco over Washington

This isn't quite right, dude. Here's what the Saints need to get in:

1.) Win out. They SHOULD win the next two. The Carolina game will be tough, but it is in the Dome and the trend has been that EVERY NFC South game this year has been won by the home team.

2.) Dallas has to lose 2. Preferably, those two losses are to Baltimore and NYG.

3.) Philly has to lose 1. Doesn't matter who, but the Dallas game in the final week may be the best chance.

4.) Washington has to lose 1. Again, don't care who, but the Eagles are the best chance at a loss.

5.) Atlanta NEEDS TO LOSE TO TAMPA BAY. If they lose this game and the Saints win out, then the Saints will own the tie-breaker for the second Wild Card spot.

If all of the above play out, then the Saints and Tampa Bay will go in as the Wild Card teams and the NFC South will have three teams in. It is not realistic to believe that New Orleans will catch TB or Carolina at this point.

i love the way PT plays and think we should play bush at RB/WR and the decoy role (coming in motion on some running plays up the middle like the 1st play of the game)

i just don't see why the both can't be effective in their roles.

So, the games that you have posted are actually right, with the exception of the Cleveland / Philly game. If Cleveland wins that game, Tampa beats ATL, the Giants beat Dallas and the Saints beat da Bears, then the path is a lot easier. At that point, the Saints would need two more wins plus one loss for Washington and Dallas. In fact, it's possible that the Saints could control their own destiny by the time they play Carolina.
