Save the puff pieces of Father trying to coach his Son up to make the team.

Saints won't draft Garrett Nussmeier 
They probably wouldn't, even if he were a 1st rd prospect. Like you say, we don't need nepotism (or the impression of it) in the locker room.
His dad is the OC. We have a 1st year player, who's shown a lot of promise, as the starter. The team appears to have bought into him, and is gelling around him. Rattler appears to have accepted his fate as the backup, and/or trade bait if anyone is interested, so that room is set.
Bringing in "daddy's boy" to take a spot would create a mess. Garrett's good enough to stick somewhere as a practice squad guy, let him do that elsewhere.
