Watching the video now. Agree with that statement though. Completely avoidable situation and a damn shame.

They really do try and portray Hayes as some innocent victim in this. That’s Vice for you though.

I don’t know what kind of person Cardell is, maybe he felt scared when WS and that Hernandez guy got out and were pissed off.

You are not scared when you pursue someone who hit and run you with your own loaded gun at the ready.

You are not scared when you rear end someone with your own loaded gun at the ready.

The first car collision was an accident.

The second car incident was purposely instigated.

It is wrong to hit and run even when it's a minor collision.

Pursuing someone with a loaded gun is criminal.

Your car insurance is always the answer for fender benders.

You call the police and get an accident report for your insurance agent.

If you pursue aggressively with a loaded gun at the ready, you deserve extensive jail time especially when you take a human life being a hot head.

My goodness. The man went after him over a fender bender and shot the shite out of him after getting into it with him. What good is going to come out this? None, call the police and report it. Get his tag if you need to.. but don't go getting into a rage with a weapon. Of course he needs to pay for his attitude. 25 years is not even enough. He took a life over his hot head. He is 100% responsible and he can't just go around murdering people he gets into conflict with.

Holy shite you’re stupid.

Chasing a random guy around with a gun is aggravated assault with a firearm. Assault is placing someone with the reasonable belief that a battery may be committed upon them.

For a fender bender(implied) at the ready and using it.

What eventually happened was criminal I’m just trying to figure out how him having gun in the car was criminal

Mind you, Will Smith also was carrying a gun. He was intoxicated. That, in fact would be criminal

Gotta love the "journalist" they interviewed, Tyler Tynes. He's from Philadelphia and here's his bio:
quote:

Tyler R. Tynes is a Staff Writer for SB Nation where he covers the intersection of race, politics and sports. He is based in Washington, D.C. Previously, Tynes worked for The Huffington Post, The Press of Atlantic City and The Philadelphia Daily News. He is currently the Chair of the Print Journalism Task Force for the National Association of Black Journalists.

Yet they portray him as if he's from New Orleans and has his finger on the pulse of the city. He even mentions which neighborhoods supported Cardell Hayes lol.

If we ever have a fender bender and you pursue me aggressively with a loaded gun at the ready, I will offer to buy you some beers and sing the songs of the ancient Vikings in the land of Valhalla.

Or, I will pull my loaded gun at the ready and blow your fricking head off.

Either scenario suits me.

Both made bad choices. Will Smith should have just taken the OWI. Wouldn’t have been a big deal for him. At the same time you can’t chase someone and purposely rear end them and then claim self defense.

Some people in here are pretty one sided. If you listened to the trial or read anything about the trial it was pretty much stated Hayes wasn’t the aggressor. He was hit... followed when smith didn’t stop (which most people would in a hit and run) and smith and Hernandez were the aggressors. Their wives were trying to hold them back etc. take off the saint homer glasses
