Until we do bad enough to get the number one pick and get lucky amd find a great QB.....

We will never be competitive in the playoffs.

It’s gonna take a lot more than just a QB. We need a wholesale offensive overall, starting with the staff.
Also #1 picks don’t turn teams around instantly if ever. Look at Carolina right now, they’re even worse than us with a Heisman-winning #1 pick QB.
Unfortunately it’s just luck more often than not. Sometimes a Burrow or TLaw comes along and look like a sure thing then deliver, other times it’s Jamarcus or Bradford or Derek’s brother.
The same is true of later picks. Often QBs beyond round 1 don’t work out, but then you have the Brady’s and Purdy’s of the world so it’s more than possible.

We should just go ahead and lose out now, try and get the first round or so pick, and trade them for multiple early picks. We gotta do something.

Do you trust this staff and front office to do what it takes to right the ship and/or develop new talent? They seem content to live in the past and aren't even the slightest bit embracive of any of the modern trends in the league, especially on offense. Without changing the group of individuals running the show, it won't matter what they do or who they bring in via the draft
