Nothing to say because the post is pointless; he failed in his 4 biggest games & has 'wasted pick' written all over him, like the rest of the Saints' picks this year. Loomis needs to go.
The past few years we have picked up some key players for our team via draft of UFA and you are saying Loomis and SP have to go. We were the #1 rated offense last season where the key players were 2 UFA's and a 7th round pick.
If it kills you that for once it seems we are heading in the right direction you can

54 picks under Loomis
25 of those under SP
Loomis: 8 good, 5 ok, 1 semi-ok, 8 meh, 32 crap
SP: 4 good, 3 ok, 1 semi-ok, 7 meh, 10 crap
Even if you disagree about Jenkins and Bush, there's not much else that is even up for debate. ( Pressley and Meachem can't be rated well if they can't see the field. ) Now compare that with the Ravens or Patriots... yeah, not even close.
Riddle me this: If Loomis is so good at what he does, why are we still without a SB appearance yet at the bottom of the barrel in cap room? You'd think with all that money spent, it would show up better than 8-8.

LeCharles Bentley was a bust? A guy who was a multi-year starter on the line, made the Pro Bowl, and signed a huge FA contract elsewhere due to his time on the team?
It's not *our* fault the guy's career is over due to a nasty staph infection, but the guy wasn't a wasted pick.

I'll admit that one may not be fair by me, but when a guy leaves your team because he wants nothing to do with you after only 3 seasons, that pick didn't really pan out all too well.

The big reason why Bentley wanted out so bad was that he sat out the last two games of the 2005 season and someone with the Saints made a comment to the effect of him doing it to ensure he made it to the free-agent market unscathed.
He took those comments personally, resulting in the interviews where he said he'd rather sit out a year than play for the Saints again, then he signed a contract with the Browns and promptly tore a ligament in his knee and got a nasty staph infection in it, never playing another down of football.
Someone getting pissy over a comment like Bentley did is a one-off situation, not a habitual case like the Raiders and their Keystone Kops front-office or the kind of crap that "King Carl" Peterson would regularly pull in KC when he was still there.

bama is a forumtard yes, the saints, well the saints are the saints, ill never give up on them, but im a realist, ive been a fan for 35 + years, if they go 8-8, thats not bad, every win after 8 is spectacular

Loomis has final say but is definitely NOT the man. He is a bean counter and not a personnel guy. The drafts and moves since 2002 are directly reflective of Haz and Payton.
I graded'em in another thread, just copying n paste here-
You can really only score drafts after three years to have real perspective. Since some saintards like to throw some random shite on the wall let's review them since Payton's arrival. Consider also that in the NFL any 4th Rd or later pick that just makes the team is generally considered a success. I score relative to the round and performance, even if with another team-
7th Round
Colston- A+ incredible pick, stud
Strief- B solid backup
Marvin Mitchell- C still on the team solid STer
6th Round
Josh Lay- X missed
David Jones- B started 7 games for bengals last year
Adrian Arrington- I incomplete, looked like he would make the team last fall
5th Round
Mike Hass- C for still staying on NFL rosters 3 years later even if not showing stats
Bushrod- B has looked good in pre season and they are developing him
Mehlhaff- F missed wide right
4th Round
Ninkovich- C still playing as sub
Antonio Pittman- B+ 23 games, 5 starts in 2 years for Rams. Too bad they found such a great FA in PT
Nicks- A+ good looking starting guard in rookie year, impressive
3rd Round
Jhari Evans- A+ whaddya call Bloomsburg College 3A? Have to tender with 1st/3rd cuz someone might take him for a first. nuff said
Andy Alleman- B 15g, started 4 for Miami
Pressley- I incomplete, we'll see
2nd Round
Harper- B- starting SS from day one, not All Pro but there are many worse
Usama Young- D ST stud, might do better at FS
Tracy Porter- A/I what we saw looked good, impressed Payton and he's penciled in as starter after 5 games
1st Round
Bush- B- if he was a 2nd Rd pick everyone would be gaga about him. Not Adrian Peterson but his total package brings a lot of game.
Meachem- F almost I, plenty of WRs take 3 years for the light to come on. This year will show
Ellis- B- only injury held him back, nothing but more game expected
Lessee... A+ B C X B I C B F C B+ A+ A+ B I B+ D A B F B. Only a couple out of 21 that still are not in the league. I'm not saying the best in the NFL but I say not too shabby either.

Well, you're grading them differently than I am Blues. I'm am looking at them as good picks for the Saints, moreso than by the Saints. If a guy does well elsewhere, good for him, but it didn't work out for us.
