This should have been done several years ago….. doing it now stops extension of the misery.

Take your Lumps now !!

1) Trade Kamara
2) Trade Lattimore
3) Cut aging vets with major salaries.
4) Do not extend any more players except if young and good

We aren't getting any capital for AK. Too much mileage for his position.

Can't resign any of these guys.

At today's numbers, we are 81Mil over next year's cap. Scheduled to have 36Mil in 26 and 200Mil in 27. Obviously, this isn't accounting for fielding an actual team (there may be 10 guys on the roster in 27).

But, they will do something stupid to get under in 25 and that will involve adding years to some old guys. I'm not sure they can get under without doing it.

ETA: LOL...in 27, there are 11 guys signed to be on the team. There is another 17 with void years, including Cam Jordan, Mathieu, Carr, and T Hill. Such a joke.

We are a better team with AK than without. But at this point, you take a 5th or 6th to get out of that contract. They can’t resign him in 2026, and while he’s under contract for 2025 he will sit out all offseason and will be a distraction unless he’s dealt or gets a high dollar deal.

FYI, trade him before the deadline and his 2025 cap hit drops from $29M to $10M

Great idea. Only about 3 years too late on it. Funny enough, you are still earlier than Slippin Mickey on this thought.

He will also be in his 30s. Under NO circumstances should a team in our position be paying a running back anything new at that point in their career.
