I would not say he was the biggest injection of hope for the city. That would be Brees and Payton. Did Reggie live up to be drafting number 2 overall? No. Did he help us win games? Yes. Not the best ever first round draft pick. That belongs to the only Hall of Famer that was drafted by Saints in 1st round : Willie Roaf.

Willie Road and it isn't very close. His value as the 8th pick longterm is the best pick ever for the Saints as a first round pick.
