Going for it on 4th down in your own territory and then kicking a field goal on 4th & 1 from your opponents 3 was a WTF moment for me.

If you're going to be aggressive in play calling like that fine. Just stay aggressive.

Change #2 to "inability to wrap up, and tackle". The seahawks got many extra yards after the missed tackle.

The mighty sean peyton will bench a kicker for missing a field goal but let bush drop a ball or defense miss a tackle or just anyone else screw up he does nothing, the saints had a fluke season last year call it what ya want it was a fluke and it is starting to show...peyton acts all tough guy benching the kicker ppffftttt yeah that really helped yesterday didnt it

Huh?

Before Bush got injured, his role was greatly reduced. He started the game splitting time with Jones but before his injury, Jones was basically the primary guy due to Bush's lack of production.

We've played ONE season since the SB win, and we went 11-5. It's completely laughable to say it was a fluke and this season it "started to show".

You don't go 13-3, have, what, the 2nd best record in the league, and win the Super Bowl in a fluke. That just doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

Its not the first time the saints had a good season and didnt win, it has happened before and will happen again, say what you want, it was a fluke, matter of fact, take the next 10 seasons and see if you even get there again, my guess is it wont happen....

Dude, just stop.

You're making yourself look like you're not very knowledgeable at all about anything NFL related.

Say what you want, but that's the truth.

Teams don't go 13-0 by a fluke, then get HFA and win 3 games and a SB by a fluke. It's ridiculous to even think that, much less believe it.

I'd say going 11-5 solidified that we are legit, considering how tough it is for teams to repeat.

So, if wen randomly get an onside kick and win that game, are we all of a sudden not a fluke because ONE play worked in our favor? Sounds like an awfully simple view on this season.

My point was peyton wants to act tough when it comes to a kicker but if anyone else screws up its oh well

But how is that a good point when it wasn't "oh well"??? Bush's role was reduced due to his gameplay.

so was last year the only time we made it to the playoffs? No but it was the first time we made it to the superbowl, the saint have made the playoffs plenty of times before last year was just pure luck that they happened to win, you can say i know nothing about the nfl all you want, we are just like the bucs that won the superbowl, that was a fluke just like us winning was a fluke

No which actually disproves your point. We've been really good recently, playoffs 3 out of 5 years. We finally put things together and were definitely the best team in the NFL 1 of those years. No clue how you can dispute that. Who was better?

quote:

Pure luck? Did you even watch them play last year? They were better than every team they played. How is winning pure luck?

So, you're basically saying that any team that wins 1 Super Bowl and doesn't repeat the next year is a fluke, right?

when they play like they did yesterday hell yes, 8 missed tackles, 1 blitz call, the seahawks had the worst record of any playoff team in history, and it doesnt disprove my point it makes my point, if we were so good then 3 out of 5 years we should have at least went all the way, repeats have happened, ask the patriots, the 49ers and the cowboys

So, every team that hasn't repeated was a fluke, correct?

You clearly don't seem to understand what it takes to win a title. We could have "at least" went all the way? What does that even mean? How do you "at least" go all the way? To say you can "at least" go all the way would insinuate that you could have somehow done something more that season. I'm guessing you're thinking we should or could have went undefeated 1 season or something to prove we aren't a fluke.

im not gonna argue with you, If you go to another superbowl in the next 10 years look me up, I will go back to cheering on the patriots, at least they will be in the big game this year.
