Don't you know you're supposed to dismiss my thoughts with a sarcastic GIF because I'm not part of the circle jerk clique here?

Well put and couldn't agree more! Also I might add the Albert Pujoles negotiations in St Louis was very similar and we see how that turned out.
There is literally nothing in common with baseball.

Loomis knows he has virtually all the leverage. He knows how Condon operates. He knows he doesn't have to say jack shite to Brees / Condon other than "here's our final offer... or here's the franchise tender. Take your pic. And if you pick the franchise tender we'll see you back in this office in 9 months."
I keep seeing this argument, and it keeps getting dumber and dumber. Last time I checked, there isn't a gag order attached to the franchise tag, and Drew would sound off constantly about how shitty the franchise tag is. Do you really want the man who brought your franchise to relevance to constantly be bitching about the organization?

Basically, Tom Condon is a hard nosed a-hole who puts the dollar first, is loyal to only the top dog (even if it's to the detriment of his OWN clients... ask Alex Smith how he feels about his agent pushing Peyton to the 49ers).
This is his job anyways. Don't get me wrong, he's a massive a-hole, and the Patriots refuse to deal with him, going so far as to not drafting his clients.

Brees can bad mouth the Saints all he wants but other players see that we spend $$$ on free agents, we proactively re-up high performers before their original contracts are up, etc.
Brees is the abberation here.
Brees is the abberation here.

Brees is the abberation here.
1.A departure from what is normal, usual, or expected, typically one that is unwelcome.
2.A person whose beliefs or behavior are unusual or unacceptable.
Talk about a circle jerk!
