New England drafted a deep snapper. Had we done that, y'all would have flipped.

It's a trade that I personally don't like, but complaining about this trade is the equivalent of bitching about losing your golf shoes when Katrina has destroyed your house.

Ummm... They also had how many picks in this draft? Saints already have a deep snapper and do not need one. The patriots likely do. If not, they had what? 8 picks in the second and third rounds?

It doesn't matter how many picks a team has. Do you think the Patriots just said "well, we have a bunch of other picks, lets take a deep snapper."

They decided, much like our front office, that X player, could come in and fill an important role. Is their role as important as a starting QB? No, but it's also why we're talking about a late round pick.

Why hasn't an NFL team hired you yet?

And the 5th-7th rounds are usually a wash unless you get lucky anyway.

I'd like to see some proof of this.I

Here is your proof Hendersonhands

"Morstead displays above-average leg strength along with overall accuracy. He also brings added versatility as a situational place kicker. However, he needs to speed up the process as he's had a history of getting punts blocked in his collegiate career." per espn

and do not need one

but they do need a punter. dumbass.

they traded up to pick up a guy who probably wasn't going to be there in th 7th.

and a punter isn't likely to receive a salary as big as a normal 5th rounder.

we gave up a 5th rounder next year. boohoo.

the saints are building a team this offseason to win THIS season. they are not planning for next years draft right now.

the new defensive system will benefit from some good field position.

Anything I can do to help justify this pick is a good thing. I hope this kid is a perennial pro bowler and we look back and its not that bad

For those who are obsessed with getting a running back, here is the list of who has been drafted and who is still out there. There are some good players who will be UDFAs.

So because they drafted a guy they ended up cutting we should never draft kickers??

Same thing happened with Antonio Pittman should the Saints never draft RB's anymore?

I'm still confused as to why people wanted us to draft a runningback who would get 4 carries a game.

I'm not jumping for joy over the selection of a punter, but if he turns out to be an advantage in terms of field position, then he's much more valuable to me than a 3rd string runningback.

Seriously, they've gotten some luck with Colston, Evans, and Nicks, but overall this staff is an embarrassment when drafting.

so when they draft someone that doesnt pan out, its because they dont know wtf theyre doing

but when they do draft someone who pans out, its because theyre lucky

1. youre a fricking assclown

2. the only legit bad pick was trading up for the punter

3. youre a fricking assclown
