This Will Be A Special Season

The moves are there. The team is together. The only logical way this season ends is with Gayle standing on the podium in Atlanta while Drew Brees brings the Lombardi across a river of Falcons tears like Washington crossing the Delaware as Tom Benson looks down from heaven dancing the second line with Buddy D.

Like your sentiments, especially for the Benson family. With that said the talent level across the top 4-5 teams in the NFL is VERY close. Injuries will have a big impact on the upcoming season. Staying healthy will be paramount to our success. Also we must continue to develop our young core players, no 'sophomore slumps' or off the field issues. Who Dat!

I wish. I hate to get too excited about the season and jinx it. Our offense will have very little fall off, the rookies will only be better on both sides of the ball, Anzalone will be back. If we shore up the D line, we become a very scary team to face

In a different era of the game, when rushing was king, Finks said they way you build a championship team is through the middle: RB, QB, G\C, DT, MLB, S
The Saints followed that formula pretty much in 2009 and it surprisingly still worked.
This year could be special, too, if they bring in Suh, and remain balanced on offense:
Kamara/Ingram
Brees
Peat/Unger/Warford
Suh/Rankins
Davis/Klein
Coleman/Williams
