This team is lost, this fan base is lost, this season is lost!

Can we all not agree that this season being played is a bad idea? At least for our selfish reasons. Nothing good will come of this. I hope like hell the season gets cancelled and we can reboot in a year or so. Please, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, can we just flush this shitastic last 2 months and let our emotions cool the frick down. We are supposed to be a family when it comes to our Saints, more so than any other fan base. It’s toxic right now and I don’t think most want to go through with it. I’ve never seen such hate and vitriol spewed at our players. It’s not healthy for our team to play. It will not end well. Our run will be over if we play this year. I’m sure some, like Lester and 1992 will disagree, but it’s not good. Most will agree this is the lowest they’ve felt about their fandom, perhaps ever. And that’s saying some shite after what we’ve been through. Fan since 1980 for reference. We need to be a cohesive fan base again, that’s what makes our situation special. Our Saints mean too much to us to let it end this way for some. Please let us find what we once had. Good night to all.

I think you overestimate “team” when you’re talking about millionaires getting paid to do their job at a very high level.

Maybe, but I think you underestimate the stupidity and selfishness of some of the team, such as but not limited to Mike Thomas and Malcolm Jenkins.

Whether u agree with his politics or not...calling out the leader of the team and New Orleans legend while getting that fat contract is unacceptable!!??
It’s a disgrace. Disrespectful to Brees, to CSP, and to New Orleans. They should have cut him yesterday. But they can’t, can they? Same reason Brees had to apologize. Save the team. Save the season. Save the super bowl dream.

I think you’re wrong. And I will admit I could be wrong. What makes you think this fan base and team will be unified by September? Have you seen any evidence to the contrary? I will admit that it’s more important for a unified locker room right now. But long term, the fan base is a more important component. And they are lost. The most important person in the franchise’s history has been deconstructed. Agree or not, that is a big deal to some.
