Thats one thing that stands out to me.

It’s something we saw from the 1st game and something thats been a constant. You have to play to win.

Stop looking for a FG go for a TD. Get a field goal if all else fails. Bad loser mindset thats on Payton.

Extremely frustrating. Difficult to believe Payton actually started the second half of a Super Bowl with an onside kick.

This has been a trend with him lately. Another great example was the end of the 1st half against San Francisco. Should have tried for a field goal before halftime.

He’s not the same coach as he was then.

i would go even farther and say stop trying to run the clock out at the start of 3rd quarter

they love to play kill the clock and if we have to punt so what? this mindset that it doesnt matter because give drew the ball with 2 minutes left and he will always win the game for you is why we lose games if there is just 1 holding penalty or a dropped pass on that last second 2 minute drive

drew isnt mister perfect any more and its time to stop pretending all we need is another possession in the last 2 minutes and we will score to win. that happens very rarely to never any more

yet they game plan for doing just that and even to the point of playing prevent defense, letting other teams get close in games they were down 2-3 scores in, and then with one mistake or two, they take the lead and now we have to struggle to just barely survive in many games we already had in hand

They don't. They play for the TD but must settle for the FG if they don't get the TD. Even the 2000's rams had to kick FGs. This is silly.
