The fact that one of the refs on the no call played for the rams is troubling

Should the ref crews be handled like juries. Have a pool of refs and let the teams throw out refs that have obvious conflicts like this.

You might think that having a ref crew that hasn't worked together would decrease the quality of officiating, but how could it get any worse.

Phil McKinnely was NOT on yesterday's crew

Gary Cavaletto & Patrick Turner were the 2 officials on the side of the play

ETA: this whole rumor started with a weirdly worded tweet from Ramon Vargas

McKinnely and Cavaletto were on the same crew during the regular season... but only Cavaletto was on yesterday's crew

Yeah, so they're releasing this conspiracy theory so that when it's proven false, they can by extension claim that the no-call conspiracy is false.
