Everyone is stuck on what the Texans want. They have no say so...it is the player option and WATSON has all the pull here. He can come to the Saints for pennies on the dollar just because he wants to. It is his choice not Houston

Alternatively, the Texans have him under contract for several years and no FAs are signing with them anyway, so they can just hold him for years if they wanted to.

Not necessarily. They can totally just hang on to him. He's under contract. They WANT to trade him but they dont HAVE to right now.

They don't want to win any more this year than last. They could have him waste away not playing another season.
