Racey is a real sleeper and will be a force in the NFL
He wasn’t a force at all in college but will somehow magically learn how to get separation in the NFL? Not likely
Lack of production in college... I thought he looked good when he got on the field in 19. He just couldn't beat out Jefferson, Chase or Marshall.
Put him here, and let him be Jameis' version of Devery Henderson. Opens up everything underneath.

I'm going to float this out there, just for discussion;
there's a whole lot of healthy skepticism on LSU's times. I can understand that, it seems awfully convenient the one year we don't get a combine, everybody runs a 4.3 in their pro day. Does feel a bit ... lucky.
Let's dig just a little deeper- Justin Jefferson ran a 4.41 at the combine last year. That wasn't hand timed by a friendly staff.
Watching LSU, did you think Jefferson was the fastest guy on the roster that year? I didn't. I assumed Vincent was, he showed off on deep coverage. He ran a 4.33 I think, which seems about right.
I thought McMath looked like he was the straight fastest WR, he timed out at 4.34. He did look a step ahead on deep routes, and there were plays where he destroyed the angles after the catch.
I really assumed Chase was faster than Jefferson, and he put a 4.38 (0.03 faster). That doesn't shock me.
Marshall, I wasn't that sure of, because he was bigger... but you go back and look at the recruiting, he was supposed to be the big-time stud.
Again, those numbers all look crazy in a vacuum, but if you use Jefferson as the control variable, it doesn't look off to me.

Last week's projections had him in our range at 28. That is what I am hoping for. I don't know that his pro day time would vault him up that high, but maybe so.

Yeah whether they are legit 4.3’s or not doesn’t really matter because they’re almost certainly in the 4.4 range regardless. Chase basically just had to not run a bad time to solidify his draft spot and he did that.
Eta- people get so caught up in the exact numbers but there are so many variables on any given day that can be the difference in a good time and an average time. We’ve all seen the tape of Chase and Marshall running past good players. The 40 time only confirms what we know, and that is that they are fast.

What really sucks is this draft has a ton of WRs with 1st round talent and we have so many more needs due to the cap situation.

You do know that each scout from the different teams time the 40's with their own stop watches right? It's not like they are just relying on LSU coaches to give them an accurate time.

I don’t love his hands. very awkward when catching with his hands at times. But he’s got the tools to be a stud for sure.
