No doubt. Or leaving Brees uncovered.
They usually put someone over to cover Brees who runs off as soon as the play starts and they obviously aren't throwing to him. The times I've seen it Brees lines up on the LoS and then takes a few steps back as soon as the snap happens. If he had run forward he probably would have been bumped.

And he’s full of shite as he has given it to kamara on the dive and he has thrown it.
I actually feel like he sometimes gives it to Kamara too much. Like Im screaming at the TV telling him to keep the damn thing.

I have a question regarding Taysom Hill (really the question is about 3rd string QBs in general).
There's been questions regarding Hill's ability to take a snap under center as opposed to out of the shotgun. For example; why not use Hill on QB sneaks on 4th and inches instead of Brees, since he's a much better athlete?
I could have sworn that I've seen a rule that the 3rd string QB is not allowed to take a snap under center, and if he does, it means that the 1st string QB cannot play the remainder of the game.
I started doing research out of curiosity, and there was a similar rule to that, but it looks like it ended in 2011.
But I feel like I heard an announcer recently say that Hill cannot take snaps under center because of the current rule.
Can someone please confirm this rule? Or, if there is no rule, can they explain as to why we wouldn't use Hill on 4th and inches for sneaks, or any other play under center?
Thanks
FYI, here was the 3rd string QB rule that ended in 2011.

I've only seen him hand off once or twice.
It's probably closer to 80% keep but it's enough to where they will eventually have to commit.

Because Brees is money at those dives over the top. Has he ever NOT made one?.
As for Hill and snaps under center, I don't know the current rule but it could be we have Hill listed as the 2nd QB or not as a QB at all.
I've noticed they don't let Teddy play until the game is 100% at hand and it could be because he is listed as the third QB.
Back on the rule, my best guess is it went away with the emergency QB roster spot. This allowed the active roster to go from 45 to 46, and now teams can choose to use it on a 3rd QB or another player.
I believe the rule in question was put in place because if you activated your 3rd QB when it used to be the emergency QB, you basically got an extra roster spot (not really because it meant you had hurt QBs, but that's the gist).

Not likely. They had enough around the ball to clog it up.
But with Kamara you never know.

I'm waiting for the fake read option, backward pass to Brees who hits a wide-open Thomas for a TD.

Ok thanks. I don't disagree with Brees taking the sneaks, I just was curious if Hill is legally allowed to take snaps under center while Brees is still in the game.

I could be wrong, but I don't think he has.
Brees said he does box jumps every Wednesday.

Brees would just change the play or call a timeout if the LB's cheated up. At least I think he would.

Yeah now this one I believe Kamara has a great shot at huge yards, if not a TD (just needs to read the right hole to get past the line clean). The blocking is actually great no matter what Hill did.
The first one you posted I'm iffy on because people actually adjusted to Hill keeping it, thus it's hard to say exactly where everyone would have ended up. I think it would at least be a first, likely a gain of 5 or more, but Kamara slips one tackle there and he would be gone. Just not AS clear as the Atl one.

somehow hill takes this one for 37 yards
There was no wrong answer on this one. Either Kamara or Hill would have had a big gain. The reason was that the LB had containment on the outside and was standing flat-footed. He initially makes a move toward Kamara, then realizes Hill still has the ball. Just as he's getting back into position, Hill makes a move to the outside, the LB reacts to that and then Hill takes it inside before the LB can recover. Hill timed his move perfectly as the LB was moving to his left to get back in position to contain the edge.
