So you're saying our defense would have been negatively affected had we lost our first team All Pro defensive end last season... That's the hard hitting analysis we desperately need during such troubling offseason times.
I feel like our defense needs more of an upgrade a the 1-tech DT, we haven't had a top half of the league level guy there since Norman Hand. Getting a block absorber to free up our LBs would go a long way. I don't hate Onyemata or Davis, but they are more rotational guys. OBviously generating pass rush from DT's is great, but a run stuffer/double team commander lining up over center/Guard is huge to a LB unit, and our run defense was a serious liability at times last season.
BTW Billy, how do you think our offense would have performed had we lost Drew Brees?

Bryan is too raw
Feel like we’d take him on future potential and 5 years from now he’d just be a reasonably above average run defender who doesn’t help on passing downs
