Very possible he's not there at 27, very possible he is. Assuhming we don't sign Ndamukong, Taven gives us that interior pass rush that I think this team badly lacks. We have 3 stout defensive ends with Cam, Okafor and Hendrickson. We need a push in the pocket to help make the QB uneasy there. I know LE had him in his list of possible targets on defensive and the more i've read on this guy, the more i see the fit on this D. This profile gives a Cam Jordan comparison which is strange, he's a multi position DL player but Taven's 290 lbs with more room to grow. ALso some comparison whispers of JJ watt of things i've read.

We’re not getting Suh

I don’t mind Bryan but I feel like he’s not going to make an immediate impact. He’s a guy that might not start or play for another year or two

well not saying this is biblical shite but his prospect grade says he should become immediate starter. We rotate, eagles basically had 2 starting defensive lines. We need depth and versatility on that line. "starting" what the frick does that mean, we'll have 6-7 guys getting substantial snap counts.

For the first time in a while, I really think we need to focus on offense a lot more.

If we have options, we should consider trading back. Maybe jump back into the second round again.

Our defense is going to really carry this team for either an aging quarterback with a run game or a youthful qb developing in a couple years. Offense can still be very much attended to in most of the draft and plug a lot of needs. Thomas, Kamara, graham, colston are a few examples of high impact players on offense in later rounds.

You never stop adding to defense, our interior pass rush is still very much lacking. This rush will only make our great secondary that much better as well.

I think we should go BPA in first round and take best TE available in the 3rd.

Two opposing options cannot both be ‘very possible’ that’s not how statistics work

By ‘comparison whispers’ do you mean the YouTube video titled “Taven Bryan: Florida Gator - the next JJ Watt career highlights”?

I watched Florida a lot the last few years and he never stuck out to me. I trust Ireland so if he's the guy I'm good with it

I just cringe when people throw out NFL/NBA comparisons to college kids. Most of those pro comparisons are not well thought out but used to create a particular narrative. So I hadn't done a ton of research on Taven Bryan but the one thing I did see was that highlight video & title

glad to see you did a little homework

we definitely need a pass rusher, but being an LSU fan & following the SEC, I haven't heard his name until the draft stuff started. ive heard of the roquan smith, Rashaan evens, but never taven Bryan. and so im skeptical of his abilities to be a first round talent

Agreed. Our defense is actually in a good place. While it could use upgrades it does not have any critical holes as the offense does (WR, TE)

baffled that people think this.

Front 7 depth esp along the line is not good. You can never have enough DBs. These players are much harder to find than WR or TEs. Which makes them priority.

This.

Imagine if Cam Jordan got hurt last year - defense would've been completely mediocre, especially once we lost Okafor.
