It’s up there if you’re not counting the 3-4 OLBs like Jackson and Swilling.

Davis is the best defensive player on Saints history. Old baws will scoff but, his peak is higher than anyone else’s.

He’s so fricking complete

And to clarify I’m not saying best career. I’m saying best player

As a unit that crew will never be beat. Individually D.D. is probably better than Sam Mills and I'm a huge SM fan. But as others have said it's a different NFL today and LBs have to be better all-around defenders and not just run stuffers.

I can’t disagree. I’m not sure I’ve seen a LB week in week out be asked to do as much as we ask of Davis, and deliver.

He’s been my favorite player on the team for a while now. Best free agent signing in team history outside of Brees.

You don’t have any opinions on historical events or appreciate the opinions of anybody that didn’t experience it firsthand?

That’s stupid

We might want to review some Sam Mills and Ricky Jackson tape before going there. :-)

That said, Demario absolutely beasted tonight. This is the Defense that will need to carry us down the stretch.

Bruh, the Dome Patrol was absolutely the best linebacker group I’ve ever seen on a football field. Not taking anything away from Davis, but those linebackers were straight up monsters!

Fair enough.

Davis is a phenomenal player who had a monster game. Has been a rock for the better part of 3 (4?) years.

Any person is operating on recent bias and emotion to say he is the best player in team history.

Hes not even the best player at his position in team history. He is playing all world ball right now at a level of the all timers, but they did it for a decade plus.

I really hope he stays at this level and healthy for another 5 years, he'll be in the a small group of all timers at that point.

I have.

Rickey was far and away a better pass rusher. But Demario is so balanced.
