One of my former teachers in Mamou got the email last night about winning 2 tickets... Not bad, $800 a ticket and lower level also. But they have had season tickets for longer than 30 years, so I guess it paid off for her...

I think she should give them to a noble charity for Haitian Earthquake victims. That would be a very fine gesture.

LOL.... HAHAHAHA, I think she would rather burn them than give them away....

I am to the point that if the Saints ticket office called me and offered a ticket I would tell them to break it off in their arse. Bastardians!

i understand it is a lottery but we have had 4 tickets since 67... in the plaza level. its bewildering that we dont get super bowl tickets. i also find it ridiculous that the cost of your tickets doenst play a role. its irrelevant in other stadiums (like Washington) who's tickets all cost around the same price. but when some body has 12 tickets at under 50 dollars a piece how is that not the same as 4 tickets at at 150 +. .....
anyway i am just curious how many other 67 season ticket holders did not win the lottery. am i in a very small minority or are there a lot of us?

dude, it was a fair process. just because I am not old enough to have had season tickets since 67 doesnt mean I am not worthy or am not as big of a fan as you. the people bitching need to get the corn cob out of their arse. I deserve to be their as much as anyone... and I will be.

I know this wont make anyone who didn't get tickets feel any better about the lottery. While waiting in line to pick my mine up it was clear that a good cross section of Saints got tickets. There were cops, guys just getting off from the plants, old couples who looked like they had tickets for years, guys in suits, and young kids who looked like they had just gotten tickets. This went along to make me feel like the lottery was not fixed.

I don't think it is more fair to just give it based on season ticket length.
I think the weighted lottery was a reasonable way to give everyone a chance but give long time holders a chance.
I've only had tickets for like 10 years but I'm only 28, I've had them every year I could. As long as I had a chance then I'm ok with it even if someone who only had tickets for 3 years got them and I didn't

They actually told me to get a friend to pick them up...So I have to find a friend in Fort Lauderdale (which I dont have) who is willing to go wait in line to get my tickets early in the week, then spend Super Bowl Sunday trying to locate me at the Stadium amongst the 100,000 + other fans....are you kidding me.
Anne, shoot me an email carolcortez@cox.net

too bad they wont be selling those $500 tickets. I'd make the drive down.

let me apologize if i came across as if i was upset that someone with a shorter length of season ticket holding got tickets and not me. that is not true. the things i am upset with are. one- first and foremost the minimal number of tickets offered to season ticket holders. precedence is placed year in and year out on people's "loyalty" "faith' and... season ticket sell outs. they parade original season ticket holders on the field and hang banners commemorating sell out seasons. then less then 30 percent of the tickets the team is given goes to the fans. 9000 tickets to players coaches staff and sponsors is bull shite. we all know where a lot of the tickets went. the mere fact that the intial email we got included advertisement for travel/ ticket packages followed by "we doent know how were dividing the tickets" was insulting. B- i am some what upset in how the thing was weighted. if number of tickets on the account was to be weighted then value of tickets should also be weighted due to the significant difference between the most expensive tickets price and cheapest. not that less valuable seats should have a lesser chance but if you are going to reward people for having a high number of tickets on their account you should take in to consideration the cost of those tickets.
sorry if it came across as an attack at people that won. i did not mean it to seem that way. nor did i mean seem liek i feel like orignal season ticket holders should be garuanteed tickets.
i commend those of you that have stuck through the tough times and am happy for those of you who won the lottery.

I whole hearted agree. Very well articulated umpa23. I am very happy that a broad spectrum of Saints'fans got tickets, but the process is B.S.
Many more tickets should have been allocated to the fan base and not the brass. I totally believe in the case of the Saints,it IS the FAN BASE and NOT BIG CORPS. that make this whole process work.

Fly to Orlando and rent a car.

Believe me I wholeheartedly agree with you that saints fans make the whole process work, but I will play devils advocate. The Saints need these corporations and sponsors to remain viable in New Orleans. A lot of these sponsors have been with the saints before and after Katrina. Their actions went along way to keeping the team here, with no corporate sponsors the team may have left.
For the record I still agree with you, I am just showing another side. WHO DAT!

Dizz,
I couldn't agree more. But, conversely, the initial fan base got the entire entity to where the big corps. could roll with it more in the later years. Make sense?
