If a player targets another player and knocks them out of the game with an injury or concussion, the player that committed the foul should also have to sit out the rest of the game.
Cook being out is going to completely change the Saints offense and the game and it's not some incidental injury, it's an injury caused by an action made illegal by a rule designed specifically to curb that behavior and prevent injuries.

Lol
True, true.
Just like the new rule on challenging pass interference which has like a 0.01% success rate but of course it worked against the Saints.

That’s not a good rule. You’ll have teams unethically rule players out just to a key player from the other team out also

I'm not understanding what you're saying. What I'm saying is if a player targets another player with a cheap headshot like that and knocks them out then that player should also have to sit out. At least until the original player they knocked out comes back in. It creates an unfair advantage for the team that gets the player knocked out. Injuries are part of the game but only incidental injury should be part of the game not injuries where another player does something considered malicious by rule.

He wasn’t intentionally head hunting on that play. No reason he should have to sit.

We could knock out Sanders, but, we can not get a clean hit on him.

I might have worded it bad but that's not really what I meant.
What I meant was, if the point penalties is to even things out and correct a wrong on the field then how do you even things out when the penalty caused a player to get knocked out of the game? Shouldn't the other team also have a player "knocked out of the game"? Especially when the whole point of the targeting penalty is to prevent injuries that cause players to be knocked out of the game.
